Sunday Night Kizomba is coming to Houston! We are gathering people together so they can experiece the beauty of Kizomba music and dancing. Every Sunday night we will teach and open up the floor for dancing. Invite your friends. It will be fun! Come for the class, stay for the culture. ABOUT KIZOMBA

Kizomba is an Afro-Portuguese dance form which originated in Angola in the late 80s from Semba and other Angolan folk dances, but adapted to the slower -tempoed Zouk music. From there it spread to Portugal, where it expanded to include influences from Tango, Salsa, Coladeira and other Afro-Latin dance forms.

Kizomba dancing is all about connection and feeling. The art of walking as one is what makes it very special, yet challenging.

🥇 Beginners to seasoned dancers! We start from scratch. No experience required.

📍 Soltan, 6009 Beverly Hill St, Houston, TX 77057. You can enter through the back doors.

📌 Notes: We sit as a group by the tables on the left side of the stage, close to the bar.

⌚️ Doors open at 6:30pm. Class: 7:00p – 8:00p. Party 8:00p-11:00p

👕 Casual attire. Low heels or flats. Leather soles recommended. Avoid rubber soles and sandals.

🍹 Food and bar available.

👥 Event is for ages 18+ to dance, 21+ to drink.

KIZOMBA SUNDAY SCHEDULE

✓ 6:30p Doors open / check-in / relax while we set up.

✓ 7:00-8:00p Beginner Kizomba Class: footwork, leading and following, figures, saidas.

✓ 8:00-11:00p Kizomba Sunday Social dance and party: Kizomba, Semba, Tarraxa, Urban, plus a touch of Bachata music.

Beginner Class $10/p. – includes social. Social only $5/p
