The Houston Caribbean Professionals Association is proud to promote literacy and cultural appreciation amongst children ages 15 and under by showcasing & reading books written by Afro-Caribbean authors.

Beyond Borders seeks to:

– Foster a love for reading and literature for children up to age 15 by exposing them to diverse voices & perspectives via Caribbean literature.

– Promote cultural awareness and appreciation by highlighting the rich literary heritage of Afro-Caribbean authors within the Pan-African Community.

– Provide educational enrichment opportunities for children through engaging storytelling sessions encouraging critical thinking and empathy.
